LardEhs IV - October 28, 2023

What:  Two time slots of TooFatLardies Games

Morning Session (9:30am-1:30pm)

All Around the Old West with What a Cowboy 
Rules: What A Cowboy
GM: Roger Chrysler
Scale: 28mm
Players: 2-6
Description:  Several scenarios in a campaign will be run, including a Mexican village (GuadaLARDero), an abandoned fort, a mine, and finale showdown in the town of New Texaco. Games are fast and bloody. Each player can control two characters of goodies or baddies.

Mater Tua Tam Pinguis Est...
Rules: Infamy, Infamy
GM: Sean Malcolmson

Description:  Tired of dealing with the Briton’s hit and run tactics that have plagued his scouting and foraging parties, the legate has ordered a tribune to take large force to a local village suspected supporting to rebellion. On approaching the village, scouts return with a report of a significant British force that was mustering near the village. Unfortunately, the Britons are aware of the Romans as well. Happy with the opportunity to find glory in crushing the rebels, the Roman tribune orders his centurions to prepare to meet the enemy. In this scenario, large forces of British and Roman armies will square off to control this tribal region. Victoria ad fortissimum!

Big Chain of Command Training Day - Operation Barbarossa

Description:  Set on the early war eastern front, this game will be a chance
to learn the broad concepts of Chain of Command (CoC), based on the Big CoC expansion rules with each player having either a platoon of infantry or armour.  The game will run continuously and be reset for another game allowing players to opt in/out, change sides, change force type. Observers and later participants are welcome.

First Battle of the Odon
Rules: O Group (Normandy supplement)
GM: Brian Hall
Scale: 6mm
Players: 4
Description:  Phase One of Operation Epsom assigned the 44th Lowland Division (15th Scottish Division) to take the villages of Saint Mauvieu and le Gaule with the support of the 9th Royal Tank Regiment.  As the British believed this was "a lightly held crust" they anticipated that following on from this initial push with Phase Two would then clear the Odon Valley.  Phases Three and Four would cross the Orne and Odon Rivers and successfully establish a bridgehead over the River Odon, thus completing the envelopment of Caen from the west.  As a result, these engagements are also known as the First Battle of the Odon.

Description:  Caesar is outnumbered against Pompey the Great. Will he deliver on his reputation and pull out a stunning victory or fade into history as another of Pompeys conquests? That’s up to you! 

France vs. Austria

Description:  This will be an introductory game and scenario for those of you interested in giving these rules from Reisswitz Press a try! 

7pm Curry!
In true Lardie fashion, at the conclusion of gaming we'll place a group (or individual) order in for curry and other Asian/Southeast Asian food.  All are welcome to stay.

Refreshments and Lunch During the Day
There are many food establishments within a 5 minute drive / 15 minute walk of the hall.  Beverages will be available from the main bar once it opens.
